MetroWest EMS Launches Nonprofit Ambulance Service to Serve ******* and ******* Communities

**************, MA – [5/13/2025] — A group of veteran paramedics, public safety leaders, and healthcare professionals has launched MetroWest EMS, a new nonprofit ambulance service dedicated to delivering advanced, compassionate, and community-based emergency medical care to the residents of ********** and **********.

Founded in 2025, MetroWest EMS was created in response to growing concerns about the quality, sustainability, and community accountability of for-profit EMS models. As a nonprofit, MetroWest EMS reinvests 100% of its resources into equipment, training, and staff well-being—not corporate profits.

“We knew our communities deserved better,” said *********, a longtime EMS leader and Executive Director of MetroWest EMS. “This agency was born from the front lines, shaped by public safety partnerships, and driven by a mission to put people first.”

With a leadership team that includes decades of experience in EMS operations, community paramedicine, and clinical education, MetroWest EMS aims to offer best-in-class service to both 911 emergencies and the broader public health system.

The nonprofit has already begun forming key partnerships with local fire and police departments, hospitals, and municipal leaders. Its model emphasizes innovation—including the use of point-of-care testing, prehospital ultrasound, and mobile integrated health services (MIH)—alongside a deep commitment to ethical billing, transparent governance, and workforce sustainability.

“We’re not just building another ambulance service,” said *******. “We’re building a nonprofit model that works for patients, providers, and the entire community.”

MetroWest EMS will begin operations in phases as licensure, contracts, and staffing are finalized. In the coming months, the agency will be launching public CPR classes, hiring EMTs and paramedics, and hosting town hall events to hear directly from residents.
