Who We Are
MetroWest EMS is a nonprofit ambulance service created by the community, for the community.
Founded in 2025 by a group of experienced EMS leaders, paramedics, and public safety professionals, our organization was born out of the belief that emergency medical services should prioritize patients—not profits.
We serve the communities of **************** with one goal: to deliver timely, compassionate, and clinically excellent care while treating our staff with the same respect we offer our patients.
Our Story
The idea for MetroWest EMS began with a shared frustration—seasoned paramedics and public safety officials watched as years of dedication, skill, and local knowledge were lost to corporate buyouts and cost-cutting decisions. Senior staff were replaced, wages stagnated, and the quality of care suffered.
We knew our communities deserved better.
What started as a conversation between a few paramedics quickly gained momentum. The vision for a nonprofit EMS agency—one rooted in local values and operated transparently—was met with overwhelming support.
But the success of MetroWest EMS was never ours alone.
This effort was only possible because of the deep and unwavering support from our public safety partners. Local fire departments, police leadership, dispatchers, town officials, and hospital partners didn’t just endorse the idea—they helped build it. Their commitment to better care, better coordination, and better outcomes shaped every step of this journey.
Together, we created something different.
Today, MetroWest EMS is a new model for emergency medical services—one that puts people before profits, focuses on staff wellness and education, and operates with transparency and trust.
